We are bringing forward proposals to redevelop the former Claremount Hotel into a high-quality residential scheme of 65 new apartments. Our aim is to create a development that respects the character of the area while delivering much-needed new homes.

About the Site
The Claremount Hotel suffered a devastating fire in November 2019, which caused extensive structural damage. Further collapse followed during Storm Ciara in February 2020, and by August 2020 the remains of the building had to be demolished for safety reasons.
Since then, the site has remained vacant and boarded off. It has become a long-standing eyesore on the seafront and a source of local concern.
With the building beyond repair, redevelopment is now the only viable way to bring the site back into positive use. Our proposals will transform the vacant site into a high-quality residential scheme of 65 apartments, with modern design, landscaping, and improved sustainability.
